Job Title: Senior Logistics Specialist

Job Description:
Bechtel is seeking a logistics professional to supervise logistics personnel and manage logistics responsibilities on a project. The role involves performing work as a logistics technical or commercial role supporting a moderate-sized project with moderate scope, working as a deployed, dedicated resource in the home office or field. Business/project travel may be required at the request of the Project Supply Chain Manager, Project Logistic Manager, BGL Regional Logistics Manager.

The position is designated as part-time telework per our global telework policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership

Responsibilities:
  • Perform domestic and international multi-leg shipment responsibilities in support of project requirements to ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements
  • Coordinate shipments with requisite internal and external entities
  • Ensure entry of shipment tracking data into Transport Management System (TMS) and other functional tools/systems to provide visibility shipment status
  • Prepare logistics reports or performance metrics as required to satisfy project information requirements
  • Ensure audit and processing of Logistics Service Provider invoices in accordance with project procedures
  • Identify transport cost and service alternatives to support materials/equipment purchase decisions and use of Logistics Service Providers
  • Assist the project Logistics Lead as requested
  • File and resolve Logistics Service Provider claims
  • Prepare Logistics Service Provider commercial bid tabs, commitment authorizations and contract documents
  • Prepare logistics studies including site and Logistics Service Provider facility visits
  • Integrate safety requirements and measures in all logistics activities
