About the role:
We are seeking a Project Logistics Coordinator to be responsible for ensuring the timely, cost effective, and safe transport of goods, materials, and equipment to meet project requirements. You will work closely with the Project Manager, Contract Administrator, and the broader site teams both in Australia and overseas.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Strategy & Operations
- Lead the development and implementation of logistics strategies and plans
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, transport providers, and local stakeholders
- Maintain the Logistics Management Plan and ensure alignment with project timelines
- Coordinate local storage and clearance strategies between port and project sites
- Oversee vehicle, plant, and equipment maintenance
Procurement & Shipping
- Monitor quality, delivery timelines, and transport costs
- Negotiate freight rates and carrier contracts
- Ensure compliance with all customs, important/export, and shipping regulations
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, quarantine, and environmental regulations
- Assist with Marine Surveys and insurance processes for high-value goods
- Promote sustainable practices and compliance with Modern Slavery and Social Procurement policies
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain coordination, ideally within construction or project delivery
- Knowledge of international shipping, custom regulations, and freight logistics
- Strong problem solving and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Experience working with remote teams and in cross cultural environments is highly regarded
