Defence Technical Supervisor Job Description

As a Defence Technical Supervisor, you will play a key role in guiding and mentoring a team of skilled tradespeople on our Defence Maintenance Contract. Your primary focus will be on driving technical excellence, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

This leadership position involves overseeing the daily activities of the team, providing guidance and support as needed, and promoting a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and open communication.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of skilled tradespeople to achieve high-quality results;
  • Mentoring and coaching team members to develop their skills and expertise;
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies;
  • Fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team;

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent);
  • Leadership experience in a workshop or maintenance environment;
  • Relevant technical knowledge and skills;
  • Australian citizenship to meet the requirement for Defence Security Clearance;
