Leadership Role

The Operations Director is a mission-critical leadership position responsible for overseeing sustainment operations across South Australia and Western Australia.

This role drives operational readiness and program delivery across various submarine sustainment programs.

The key responsibilities include leading operational teams in both SA and WA to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes.

Ongoing efforts focus on optimising production value streams to lift productivity and efficiency.

A strong understanding of industrial relations, negotiation, and workforce engagement in trade-heavy contexts is crucial.

The ideal candidate will bring proven success in leading large operational teams in trade and union environments.

  • Seasoned operational leader with 15+ years of experience in defence, shipbuilding, or complex industries.
  • Proven track record in optimising production systems and embedding continuous improvement.
  • Strong understanding of WHSE and regulatory requirements in technical environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or management are essential.
