Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our operations at a leading company in the packaging industry.
The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding and experience of mechanical systems, competent welding skills, ability to read and understand engineering drawings, 'hands on' practical experience in a maintenance environment, mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
You will also have experience with maintenance management systems, occupational health and safety knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safe work practices, site policies and procedures, including contractor's compliance. You will provide mechanical maintenance assistance to operators, line maintainers and production personnel in all manufacturing areas and departments where and when required. You will also provide information and recommendations to Team Leaders and Managers that will assist in improving uptime of equipment and extending equipment lifecycles.
- Assist with developing improvements within the Production Team
- Develop, maintain, and improve Preventative Maintenance routines along with overhaul scheduling and documentation
