Support and Enablement Officer

At Corrections Victoria, we are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Support and Enablement Officer at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

This is an ongoing, full-time opportunity that requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work.

The role will see you working across the prisoner property area and records area, with key responsibilities including:

  • Maintaining accurate data of prisoner property and transfer of property to other prisons
  • Undertaking investigations of prisoner property claims within a timely manner
  • Providing effective communication channels with Courts, Police, Legal Entities, Government Departments, Visitors, Clients, and various stakeholders

In order to be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations
  • Understanding of the importance of maintaining accurate records and associated legal implications of documents handed down by the courts
