Financial Markets Operations Associate

We seek an experienced and detail-oriented associate to join our Financial Markets Operations team.

The role involves providing quality operational support to our business by processing trade validation and settlement of Fixed Income products. This includes Corporate and Government Bonds, Discount Securities, Securities Financing transactions, and collateral.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Validating and settling trades in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating with Sales and Trading teams to promptly resolve operational issues and manage trade lifecycle events.
  • Performing manual payments and fee calculations, as well as completing settlement of funding requirements.

On any given day, you will be responsible for:

  • Settling and funding Fixed Income, Securities financing transactions, Triparty Repo, and Collateral.
  • Acting on settlement instructions across various products, including Interest rate swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, and Commodities.
  • Performing manual SWIFT entries and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ensuring daily reconciliations are performed and all exceptions are followed up and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Continuously improving current or future processes to increase productivity and gain processing efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience within Markets or Markets Operations.
  • Familiarity with Fixed Income, Derivative, and Commodity products and their general process for settlement.
  • Solid knowledge of Security Finance transactions and the ability to articulate complex situations clearly.
  • Strong knowledge of Fixed Income, Derivatives Commodities products and security financing transactions.
  • Murex system knowledge is highly regarded.
  • Strong SWIFT knowledge and experience effectively managing stakeholders and competing timelines.
  • Previous experience using Securities Depository and custody portals.
