Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Geotechnical Lead to join our team in Perth. As a key member of our Geosciences practice, you will be responsible for leading and growing our team, while promoting a culture of zero harm and safety focus within the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively promote and lead a culture of zero harm and safety focus within the business.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership, people management, and team-building skills.
  • Foster teamwork, communication, coaching, mentoring, and staff development to build a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Catalyse the growth of our Australia West Geosciences Practice through tenaciously identifying and converting market opportunities through a broad customer network and acting as a customer focal point.
  • Act as a key customer liaison and support business development through Geosciences strategy execution, proposal management, and opportunity conversion.
  • Work with and collaborate with other parts of the business (both locally and globally) to support future opportunities.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in geotechnics and/or engineering geology, including in a consulting environment, supported by post-graduate tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and a preference for recent publication history.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, established customer/industry networks, demonstrated business development experience and be capable of securing work related to relevant technical studies.
  • Well-developed project management skills including budget and schedule control, and sub-consultant management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and grow a small team, with highly effective people management and leadership skills.
  • Strong "seller-doer" mindset with experience in building new customer relationships, manage/support existing customer relationships, and win work for our Geosciences business.
  • Skilled in preparing proposals, writing technical reports, and contributing to technical publications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and group.
  • Registration with appropriate professional institutions and should have excellent organizational and time management skills.
