Key Responsibilities

  • Possess deep industry knowledge in geotechnical engineering and engineering geology.
  • Provide technical mentorship and stewardship to enhance team capability and broaden service offerings.
  • Support project delivery through oversight, project management, and adherence to corporate safety, quality, and engineering standards.
  • Lead and support proposal and project budgeting.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships and manage team workload to ensure a balanced distribution of work.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in geotechnics and/or engineering geology, including in a consulting environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, established customer/industry networks, demonstrated business development experience, and ability to secure work related to relevant technical studies.
  • Well-developed project management skills, including budget and schedule control, and sub-consultant management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and grow a small team with highly effective people management and leadership skills.
  • Highly effective project management skills, including planning, goal setting, time management, priority setting, resource allocation, accountability, and budgeting.
  • Strong 'seller-doer' mindset with experience in building new customer relationships, managing/supporting existing customer relationships, and winning work for our Geosciences business.
  • Skilled in preparing proposals, writing technical reports, and contributing to technical publications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including conveying information and ideas to individuals and groups.
  • Registration with appropriate professional institutions and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally to project sites, as required.
