Aboriginal Identified Policy and Project Officer Role

This is a key opportunity to join our organisation and contribute to the success of our Aboriginal Legal Access Program and the Children's Court Assistance Scheme.

Job Overview:

As an Aboriginal Identified Policy and Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Manager and Senior Policy and Project Officers with program management, policy development, reporting obligations, and communications strategies and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and respond to reports and correspondence from Community Legal Centres
  • Prepare internal and external briefings and communications materials
  • Analyse data and conduct research
  • Lead or assist with various project management tasks
  • Maintain communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and identify and be accepted as such in the community
  • Be willing to do a Criminal Record Check
  • Be able to travel throughout NSW
  • Have a driver licence
