Senior Speech Pathologist Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Speech Pathologist to join our team in the Rehabilitation Outpatients department at Liverpool Hospital.

About The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to work with a supportive team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality speech pathology services to patients with acquired communication impairment and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee speech pathology services for the outpatient rehabilitation caseload.
  • Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to team members.
  • Apply clinical expertise in management of acquired communication impairment and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia, including cases requiring instrumental assessment.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service development, and administrative responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Must hold a bachelor or postgraduate degree in speech pathology accredited for eligibility for Speech Pathology Australia membership.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience in comprehensive assessment, collaborative goal setting, and delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation for patients with acquired communication impairments.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge and postgraduate experience in assessment and management of oropharyngeal dysphagia, including use of instrumental assessment.
  • Knowledge and experience with patients and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice (EBP) and experience implementing EBP into service planning and evaluation.
  • Australian C-Class driver's license.
