Job Overview

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, voice, fluency, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will be applied across the lifespan in various settings including clinics, schools, homes, and telehealth platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and communication abilities to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide therapy for speech, language, voice, fluency, and cognitive-communication disorders tailored to each client's needs.
  • Educate clients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies and progress tracking methods.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as occupational therapists, physical therapists, and educators as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist or eligibility for licensure in the respective state/province.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or working towards it if applicable.
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills across a range of speech and language disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience with pediatric and/or adult populations is preferred.
