We are seeking a skilled Genetic Counsellor to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing genetic counselling and education to clients, triaging referrals, organizing clinics, educating health professionals and the community, and promoting the centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Genetic Counselling: Offer expert guidance and support to individuals and families affected by genetic conditions.
  • Triage Referrals: Carefully assess and prioritize client referrals to ensure timely and effective intervention.
  • Educate Health Professionals: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare providers.
  • Promote the Centre: Foster relationships with stakeholders and promote the centre's services to maximize reach and impact.
Requirements:
  • A postgraduate qualification in genetic counselling or an equivalent level of experience is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise professional judgment and make informed decisions.
  • The ability to provide a professional level of service under supervision is essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, presentation software, and pedigree drawing software is necessary.
