Senior Coastal Engineering Professional

We are seeking a highly experienced and accomplished Senior Coastal Engineer to lead the technical delivery of large-scale maritime projects from concept through construction phase support. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative coastal engineering solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading technical teams, collaborating with other disciplines, and providing leadership in project management and design management where applicable. They will also contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation and client positioning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical delivery for large maritime projects
  • Collaborate with other disciplines across KBR and partner teams
  • Provide leadership in project management and design management
  • Contribute to business development activities
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the design, evaluation, and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures. They will also have expertise in coastal modelling software and experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector.

  • Significant experience in coastal engineering design, evaluation, and reporting
  • Expertise in coastal modelling software
  • Experience working with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (or ability to obtain chartership within agreed timeframe)
  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance
