About Us

Climate Action Week Sydney and beyond are part of our long-term initiatives to drive positive change in the world. As Executive & Program Director, you will be responsible for leading planning, delivery, and growth of these initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a highly skilled individual to oversee the end-to-end planning and delivery of Climate Action Week Sydney and associated programs and initiatives.
  • The role requires close collaboration with the Board to develop and execute the multi-year strategy in the lead-up to COP31.
  • This position involves developing and managing relationships with government agencies, industry partners, funders, community organizations, and First Nations groups.
  • You will be responsible for grant applications, reporting, and compliance activities across all programs.
  • This role requires building and maintaining effective operational and delivery frameworks, including financial and risk oversight.
  • Key responsibilities include leading partnership development and philanthropic fundraising to diversify income and ensure program sustainability.
  • You will oversee program development, logistics, reporting, and delivery across events, bootcamps, trade missions, and ecosystem initiatives.

  • Proven experience in executive leadership, program management, or operations roles in a mission-driven environment.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience engaging government agencies and partners.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex projects and translate vision into action.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant management, fundraising, or philanthropic engagement.
  • A strong understanding of climate action, sustainability policy, or innovation ecosystems is desirable.
  • High-level financial, governance, and risk management capabilities are essential.
  • A strong commitment to inclusion, cultural safety, and co-design approaches with First Nations communities is required.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to diversify income without compromising impact is necessary.
  • Possess strong advocacy and public engagement capabilities, with an ability to think strategically and act decisively.
  • A proven track record in team development and fostering a performance-driven culture is essential.
