Climate Change Mitigation and Conservation Opportunity

Join a team of like-minded individuals in the Amazon rainforest to learn about the intersection of ancestral knowledge and climate change mitigation.


Job Description

This is a unique opportunity for interns to work alongside experienced professionals in forest conservation, agroforestry, and sustainable farming.

  • Work with farmers, foresters, park rangers, and/or environmental engineers to implement environmental education programs, diversify local farms, and make the region more resilient to climate change.

  • Learn about national and local efforts to mitigate climate change and support ongoing projects in the region.

  • Assist locals in agroforestry farms, planting, weeding, and harvesting crops.

  • Opportunity to support communities with eco-tourism projects, go on hikes into protected forests, and participate in reforestation projects.

  • Research and dissertation support available with partner organizations and universities, if requested.


Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge in field research, sustainable development, climate change, international development agriculture, and forest conservation.
