Job Summary

This is a dynamic and fast-paced role involving routine and proactive maintenance, as well as general upkeep of the building and its assets.

As part of the Engineering team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality services to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Carry out assigned tasks including physical duties such as lifting and transporting equipment, climbing ladders, working in enclosed areas, and pushing trolleys.
  2. Maintain electrical, mechanical, plumbing, kitchen, and heating systems and related equipment within the hotel, in coordination with the engineering leadership team.
  3. Respond promptly to job requests via the designated system.
  4. Inspect, repair, and log deficiencies throughout the hotel.
  5. Work from daily handover reports assigned by your manager and provide feedback upon completion.
  6. Check and maintain the efficiency of the hotel's systems, plant, and equipment.
  7. Inform your manager about equipment deficiencies, stock control, and spare parts requirements.
  8. Comply with all systems, procedures, and company policies.
  9. Develop your skills and participate in training programs.
  10. Maintain high motivation and perform at your best.
  11. Attend communication meetings regularly.
  12. Complete planned training sessions.
  13. Ensure professional, efficient, and thorough communication between Engineering and other departments.
  14. Respond to changes as required by the hotel, industry trends, or legislation.
  15. Maintain grooming standards in line with hotel policy.
  16. Assist with sustainability initiatives and drive projects aligned with organizational objectives.
  17. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  18. Coordinate and assist external contractors as needed.
  19. Keep the workshop clean and organized.
  20. Perform call-out duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
  21. Work flexible shifts as required by the business.
  22. Respond directly to guest maintenance requests, prioritizing comfort and privacy.
