Landcare Capacity Building Officer

Landcare NSW is the representative body of the Landcare movement in NSW, advocating for community Landcare and empowering local groups to make a positive impact on the environment.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Capacity Building Officer to join our team and support the growth and development of Landcare member groups across NSW.
Key Responsibilities- Review and assess Local Priority Plans to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancement.
- Collaborate with Regional and Local Landcare Coordinators to ensure day-to-day activities align with Program Outcomes.
- Flag issues in a timely manner with Host Organisations and provide support to address these challenges.
- Develop and implement an online Health Check tool to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
- Work with the NSW Landcare Program manager and CEO to design member services that address identified weaknesses.
- Support data collection and analysis to inform program development and improvement.
- Enable Landcare Networks to bid for Funding for Sustainability (FFS) projects.
- Collaborate with the RCoP Coordinator to develop Community Capacity Building (CCB) Workshops.
- Tertiary qualifications in business management or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading or managing a small commercial or NFP organisation, with responsibility for governance, financial management, operations, and human resources.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Business development and/or fundraising experience is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a geographically dispersed team.
- Strong sense of purpose and strategic mindset.
0.8 FTE Part Time Position
Flexible working environment with a Not for Profit Charity.
Negotiable fixed days and hours each week.
