We are a not-for-profit organization with a strong commitment to building the capacity of our member groups, enabling them to deliver on their strategic objectives and contribute to the overall success of the Landcare movement in NSW.
Job SummaryThe Landcare Capacity Building Officer will play a critical role in enhancing and building the capacity of Landcare member organizations, working closely with Regional and Local Landcare Coordinators to identify and address gaps in governance, financial management, human resources, and operations management.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in business management, excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
Key Responsibilities- Review and assess Local Priority Plans to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure day-to-day Coordinator activities align with Program Outcomes
- Flag issues in a timely manner with Host Organizations
- Collate information from regions and identify areas of strength and weakness
- Develop an online Health Check tool to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement
- Work with the NSW Landcare Program manager and LNSW CEO to design member services that address identified weaknesses
- Support data collection and reporting
- Enable Landcare Networks to bid for FFS projects
- Work with the RCoP Coordinator to develop CCC Workshops
- Tertiary qualifications in business management
- Proven experience in leading/ managing a small commercial or NFP organization
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Business development and/or fundraising experience an asset
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Self-starter with ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Strong sense of purpose and strategic mindset
0.8 FTE Part Time Position
