
Product Ownership Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth by taking ownership of existing products and processes, ensuring they remain commercially viable, customer-focused, and operationally efficient.
You will be the central point of accountability for in-life product and process management. Your key responsibilities include tracking and optimizing product performance, addressing customer feedback, and partnering with cross-functional teams to fix broken processes, embed improvements, and enhance returns.
This role suits someone who is commercially curious, analytically sharp, and naturally collaborative. You will thrive in bringing structure to ambiguity, spotting opportunities to improve, and working across multiple teams to get things done.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the lifecycle of existing products, ensuring enhancements, fixes, and updates keep pace with customer needs, commercial goals, and regulatory requirements.
- Track and analyze product performance, including financial metrics, cost-to-serve, and customer feedback, using insights to guide improvements.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, from Sales and Marketing to Operations, Delivery, Risk, and Finance, to address gaps, streamline processes, and ensure products remain fit-for-purpose.
- Own product-related documentation, roadmaps, and reporting.
- Drive process improvement, identifying inefficiencies and embedding Lean Six Sigma principles to strengthen scalability and efficiency.
- Act as a hub for product and process accountability, ensuring clear ownership, operational readiness, and stronger handoffs across the customer lifecycle.
- Support compliance and regulatory requirements, ensuring products are stable, well-governed, and commercially viable.
- 5+ years' experience in product management, process optimization, or commercial operations.
- Background in financial services (essential) specifically asset finance, fleet management, or novated leasing (highly desirable).
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to analyze profitability, cost-to-serve, and financial levers.
- Hands-on experience improving broken or inefficient processes, ideally using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, able to work across senior leadership, commercial teams, and operational units with confidence and diplomacy.
- Ability to interpret customer data, feedback, and operational metrics into actionable improvements.
- Curiosity and resilience, a self-starter who takes ownership and runs with opportunities.
- Exposure to regulatory, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Agile or delivery models an advantage.
