**Indigenous Student Success Role**
">About the Role:
">- The Indigenous Student Success and Engagement Officer will play a pivotal role in enhancing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students' access, engagement, and success at UNSW Business School.
- This position will collaborate with senior staff to develop and implement strategies promoting holistic student success within the Business School.
- Key responsibilities include managing and promoting the Indigenous Tuition Program, coordinating faculty participation in Nura Gili engagement and recruitment programs, and working with EDI teams to coordinate the Indigenous Student Success Program.
- Engagement with all students to ensure they are connected to programs, resources, and knowledge for positive academic outcomes is also a critical component of this role.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential academic records, developing strong relationships with university services, and fostering effective marketing and communication initiatives support Indigenous student access to the Business School.
Requirements:
">- Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience
- Demonstrated experience and leadership in providing empowering and culturally affirming environments and programs contributing to student success in higher education
- High-level interpersonal and oral communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality, and extensive experience in exercising initiative and discretion in judgment
- Ability to liaise with senior staff, work across cultures, and maintain collaborative working relationships
- Lived understanding of contemporary opportunities and challenges related to Indigenous Australians and ability to develop respectful and reciprocal relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and communities
- Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability and capacity to implement required UNSW health and safety policies and procedures
