Indigenous Arts and Culture Producer Role

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the development and success of the new Indigenous Centre of Excellence, located on Darug land at Western Sydney University's Parramatta South Campus.

This dynamic space will showcase Indigenous projects, initiatives, and events, providing opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and learn about Indigenous culture.

As the key person responsible for conceptualising and implementing arts and cultural programs, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to achieve excellence in this field.

Key responsibilities include developing a programmatic arts and cultural strategy, establishing effective communication programs, building relationships with local Indigenous communities, festivals, and organisations, and designing innovative programs and engagement initiatives.

With a focus on fairness, integrity, and boldness, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the Western Sydney community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to implement a programmatic arts and cultural strategy for the ICoE.
  • Establish and uphold an impactful communication program targeting diverse stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with local Indigenous communities, festivals, arts organisations, companies, artists, and producers.
  • Design, implement and assess innovative programs and engagement initiatives for the ICoE that engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Foster partnerships to deliver impactful projects.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term position based at Western Sydney University's Parramatta South Campus. Travel to other campuses may be required.
