About the Role

We are seeking a Team Leader to support the implementation of our Intensive Therapeutic Care & Significant Disability programs based in the Queanbeyan region. Our team is dedicated to working with young people who have experienced trauma, and we are looking for individuals who share our passion for creating positive outcomes.

The Team Leader will provide strong leadership and coordinate the operational requirements of the team on a daily basis. This role ensures the provision of services and support to clients and families in line with CareSouth's Practice Framework.

About You

We are looking for individuals who possess the following:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Welfare, Social Sciences, Disability, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the OOHC, Disability Services, or Community Services sector.
  • Proven flexibility, adaptability, and ability to respond and adjust easily to change in work demands.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of the ongoing effects of injuries, trauma, and/or neglect and abuse.
  • Proven effective interpersonal, conflict negotiation, and resolution skills and to provide strong leadership under pressure.
  • Able to provide evidence (either on commencement or at mandated intervals) of a certificate of completion of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) online Worker Orientation module.
  • A current NSW driver's license.
  • Willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a NSW Working with Children Check Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, or an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
