About the Role

We are seeking a Team Leader to support the implementation of our Intensive Therapeutic Care & Significant Disability programs based in the Queanbeyan region. Our young people come from a background of trauma, and we are looking for people who will work with their strengths to see them thrive.

Under the direction of the Manager, the Team Leader will provide strong leadership and coordinate the operational requirements of the team on a day-to-day basis. This role ensures the provision of services and support to clients and families in line with CareSouth's Practice Framework.

About You

  • You will demonstrate a commitment to the safety of children, young people, and people with a disability.
  • You will hold tertiary qualifications in Social Work/Welfare, Social Sciences, Disability, or equivalent.
  • You will have demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity within the OOHC, Disability Services, or Community Services sector.
  • You will possess proven flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to respond and adjust easily to change in work demands.
  • You will have high-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • You will understand the ongoing effects of injuries, trauma, and/or neglect and abuse.
  • You will have proven effective interpersonal, conflict negotiation, and resolution skills, as well as the ability to provide strong leadership under pressure.
  • You will be able to provide evidence of a certificate of completion of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) online Worker Orientation module and hold a current First Aid Certificate, including CPR.
  • You will hold a current NSW driver's licence, and you will be willing to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a NSW Working with Children Check Clearance, NDIS Worker Screening Check, or an ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
