About This Job

The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next, once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. The position involves liaising with teachers on their practical work needs, preparing chemical solutions, and maintaining teaching resources.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with science and agricultural science teachers to provide class sets of equipment and materials
  • Assist staff in demonstrating safe use and care of equipment and laboratory techniques
  • Prepare chemical solutions from bulk supplies
  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and good order of all equipment, laboratories, storage, and preparation rooms
  • Support events such as Science Week and subject displays
  • Communicate effectively and positively with students and staff
