We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Specimen Reception Specialist to join our team. As a valued member of our Central Specimen Reception unit, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of quality and accuracy in pre-analytical processes.
Key Responsibilities- You will maintain competence in various areas within Central Specimen Reception, including training as required for Dangerous Goods Packaging and Transport of specimens for referral to non-Pathology Queensland laboratories.
- Provide assistance, training, and support to new employees to ensure they develop their skills and knowledge in Central Specimen Reception duties.
- Act as a resource to other team members to reinforce CSR best practice and procedures.
- A Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques is highly regarded but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in CSR is desirable but not essential.
- Strong commitment to quality management and continuous quality improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
