Job Title

Ambitious finance professionals are sought after to take on a Commercial Manager role within our organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to provide actionable financial insights and strategic support to designated Practice Groups.

Closely working with cross-functional teams, including Business Development, People & Performance, and Finance, is crucial for optimising resource allocation, pricing strategies, and client engagement.

About You:

We require an individual with a strong understanding of financial business partnering, ideally within professional services or legal environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide trusted commercial advice to Practice Groups.
  2. Analyse key financial metrics, such as KPIs, WIP, debtor days, utilisation, and realisation, and lead performance improvement initiatives.
  3. Support pricing strategies, tender submissions, and large client proposals.
  4. Partner with cross-functional teams to facilitate client arrangements, compliance, and operational planning.
  5. Enhance working capital management and oversee significant WIP write-offs.
  6. Assist in resource planning and team structuring aligned with strategic objectives.
  7. Promote financial acumen across the firm through training and commercial awareness initiatives.
  8. Offer responsive support on ad hoc queries and initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, law, or business.
  • CA, CPA, or equivalent (highly desirable).
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
