At the forefront of innovation and design, we seek a visionary leader to spearhead our graphic design team. As Assistant Director, Design and Publications, you will be the driving force behind creating visually stunning and engaging designs that captivate diverse audiences.

The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of creativity, technical expertise, and exceptional communication skills. With a strong background in design and leadership, you will collaborate closely with internal clients to develop on-brand solutions that drive engagement and understanding of ACCC messages.

Key responsibilities include:

Design Leadership

- Manage the day-to-day workflow of the graphic design team, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
- Develop and implement innovative design strategies that meet client needs and drive business outcomes

Collaboration and Communication

- Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, facilitating cooperation and achieving outcomes

Visual Storytelling

- Create engaging and consumer-friendly designs that drive brand awareness and understanding of ACCC messages

Team Development

- Lead, develop, and coach a team of graphic designers to deliver projects to high standards and deadlines

Skills and Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Manager or Senior Designer, leading teams and delivering projects to high standards
- Strong portfolio showcasing design expertise and innovative thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain professional relationships

In order to succeed in this role, you will have demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate with clients and stakeholders, build and maintain professional working relationships, achieve outcomes, and facilitate cooperation. You will also have sound experience of working at a Manager or Senior Designer level and proven ability to lead, develop and coach a team to deliver projects to high standards and to deadlines.
