Key Responsibilities:

We seek an individual to generate timely, relevant and accurate assessments of financial crime intelligence that supports business risk decisions.

The role will identify current, emerging and unknown threats to the business, pre-empt, reduce and prevent financial crime risk, and support growth in a safe environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Generate intelligence for business risk decisions and regulatory compliance in Australia and overseas.
  • Contribute to advice on criminal exploitation of products, channels and business aspects.
  • Identify previously unknown threats and risks, including horizon scanning and unpacking implications.
  • Contribute to advice on the effectiveness of risk controls.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to develop timely, relevant and accurate intelligence.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience or knowledge of intelligence within government or finance.
  • Intelligence experience, including data collection, generating timely intelligence, using intelligence to drive outcomes, and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and data analysis capabilities.
  • Professional judgment, particularly in creating accurate assessments and insights.
  • Strong communication skills, including simple and influential communication.
