Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Data Specialist to join our team. This role will involve performing analysis to support the development of actuarial models and providing advice to stakeholders.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining pricing models, communicating results to internal stakeholders, and supporting the monthly valuation of outstanding claims liabilities. You will also assist with the determination of future claims liability at half year and full year periods, prepare reports on industry trends and regulatory changes, and provide support to new business ventures and M&A activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced data analysis to support the development of actuarial models
- Build and maintain pricing models to support business decisions
- Communicate complex results to internal stakeholders
- Support the monthly valuation of outstanding claims liabilities
- Assist with the determination of future claims liability at half year and full year periods
- Prepare reports on industry trends and regulatory changes
- Provide support to new business ventures and M&A activity
Requirements:
- Advanced data analysis skills, including experience with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL
- Experience with coding languages such as Python or R
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with actuarial principles and practices
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team
