Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Manager to fill this key role.

  • This individual will oversee the implementation and management of information governance activities, including Subject Access Requests (SARs), Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance.
  • The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification or equivalent experience in information governance and data protection.
  • They should have significant experience of implementing DPIAs, Data Processing and Sharing Agreements within a health or social care organization.
  • A strong background in leading an information governance framework, handling Freedom of Information Act requirements, and Records Management is essential.
  • Experience of managing risk, decision-making, and prioritizing in a health and social care setting is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage day-to-day information governance activities, including SARs, FOIA requests, and GDPR compliance.
  2. Act as Data Protection Officer, providing expert advice to senior management and staff.
  3. Lead the development, delivery, and monitoring of information governance training programs, including cyber security and data protection.
  4. Implement methods to capture and report on data that supports information governance, enhancing quality and safety of services.
  5. Provide specialist knowledge and advice across all aspects of information governance to patients, service users, members of the public, and colleagues.
