The Opportunity

As the Warehouse 2IC, you will play a vital role in supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager, ensuring the daily demands are met and productivity standards are achieved. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing cycle counts, stock variances, and inaccuracies
  • Supporting the management of a roster of 5 full-time staff and 20-30 casual staff
  • Fostering a culture that takes pride in performance, delivery, and work environment
  • Developing and contributing to 'best-in-class' processes within the warehouse
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervising normal operational activities from receiving to dispatch
  • Ensuring compliance with OH&S requirements and maintaining a clean working environment
  • Supervising and leading warehouse teams and individuals to achieve team KPIs and goals

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a similar position
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A problem-solving mentality and analytical nature
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions promptly
  • A team player who sees the value in supporting all parts of the business
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures
  • AP21 system experience highly regarded
  • A forklift ticket is essential; LO is an advantage
  • Exposure to ERP/WMS and automated warehouse operations
  • Exposure to OH&S and understanding of safe work practices
  • Knowledge in apparel and footwear is an advantage but not essential
