We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities- Warehouse Management: Oversee the selection, replenishment, and loading of products in a timely manner.
- Team Leadership: Provide coaching, training, and guidance to warehouse team members to meet productivity goals.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety compliance in accordance with company safety programs and industry regulations.
- Productivity and Efficiency: Monitor and improve overall productivity, generate and analyze productivity reports, and record indirect work delays.
- Financial Management: Assist in the preparation of the annual warehouse budget and monitor it weekly.
- Cost Reduction: Develop and implement cost reduction action plans.
- Quality and Food Safety: Comply with Sysco's Food Safety Policy to ensure food safety, quality, and legality requirements are met.
- Environmental, Health, and Safety: Drive Environmental, Health, and Safety performance by acting as an example and holding the team accountable.
- Employee Engagement: Enable, champion, and embrace an inclusive culture.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a Logistics/Warehouse role, with preferred 5 years' experience in a Logistics/Warehouse role and warehouse supervisory experience.
- Education: High School Diploma required; Diploma or Degree in Logistics and/or Operations preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of systems such as SWMS, ADP, Synetellic, CANVAS, Intelex, and labour standard systems would be considered an asset. Basic proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
