We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Leadership Expert to lead our team in Strategic Risk and Assurance.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate advice to senior leaders, intervening before risks or issues occur, and reporting on ANAO and Defence Integrity findings. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing on-demand advice on risk, assurance audit, and performance management, and supporting Defence with risk, audit, and assurance activities.
- Establishing an active assurance and internal audit system and coordinating risk and audit assurance activities for Defence.
- Enhancing the management of risk within Defence to actively manage operational and enterprise-level risks aligned with Defence priorities.
- Formulating repeatable and reportable performance measures to ensure that Defence is achieving required outcomes outlined in the Defence Business Plan and under CIOs Strategic Accountabilities and Responsibilities.
- Conducting internal reviews to provide a performance view of all Group operations, including project and program performance.
We have a defined scope, a refined vision, and structural improvements that will enable us to deliver ICT at the speed our strategic environment demands. RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- An excellent understanding of Australia's strategic policy.
- Extensive work experience with risk, audit, and assurance.
- An understanding of the requirements of risk, audit, and assurance within the public sector, including working with ANAO findings.
- Exceptional leadership qualities and capabilities to lead a team to achieve outcomes.
- Outstanding communication, planning, and relationship-building skills to work across all stakeholder levels.
- Experience providing guidance to senior level officials.
- Proven experience as a trusted advisor to senior Government officials.
$173,000 - $213,700 per annum, plus superannuation.
