Maintenance Officer

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance and gardening services to ensure our site remains functional, safe, and presentable.

Your role will involve performing various tasks such as maintaining facilities, respecting residents' private property, and ensuring compliance with Occupational, Safety, and Health requirements.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain facilities in accordance with policies and strive to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment.
  • Perform maintenance duties as required while ensuring economical and safe use of resources.
  • Respect residents' private property and their right to privacy.
  • Maintain fixed assets using appropriate trade skills, tools, or outside providers as necessary.
  • Apply the principles of planned preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills in accordance with the required competencies of the position.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety, and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment.
  • An understanding of current OSH and legal requirements.
  • Sound experience in building maintenance and related areas.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads effectively without supervision.
  • Effective time management and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
