About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a Maintenance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the site remains functional, safe and presentable.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing general maintenance and gardening services. This includes performing routine checks on facilities, equipment and grounds to ensure they meet required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain facilities in accordance with policies and strive to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as required, while ensuring economical and safe use of resources.
- Respect residents' private property and their right to privacy.
- Apply principles of planned preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment and assets.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational, Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management.
Key Requirements:
- A trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment is desirable.
- An understanding of current OSH and legal requirements is essential.
- Sound experience in building maintenance and related areas is necessary.
- Effective time management and planning skills are required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
