Your Role:

As a Maintenance Officer with our organization, you will be responsible for providing general maintenance and gardening services to ensure the site remains functional, safe and presentable.

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent part-time position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance duties as required while ensuring economical and safe use of resources
  • Maintain facilities in accordance with policies and strive to meet outcome standards related to the condition of the physical environment
  • Respect residents' private property and their right to privacy
  • Maintain fixed assets using appropriate trade skills, tools or outside providers as necessary
  • Apply the principles of planned preventative maintenance
  • Maintain knowledge and skills in accordance with the required competencies of the position
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health requirements including appropriate Injury Risk Management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Trade qualification relevant to the construction and maintenance of buildings and equipment (desirable)
  • Understanding of current OSH and legal requirements
  • Sound experience in building maintenance and related areas
  • Ability to prioritize workloads effectively without supervision
  • Effective time management and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
