Role Overview

A mental health professional is sought to deliver individualized interventions and assessments for clients with short to medium-term support needs.

The successful candidate will provide psychological therapies, wellbeing interventions and risk assessments tailored to the client's specific requirements.

This role offers a holistic approach to client care through collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.

  • Deliver trauma-informed mental health care services including evidence-based psychological therapies and wellbeing interventions.
  • Perform risk assessments, case formulations and treatment plans for clients with moderate to severe mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.
  • Actively participate in individual and group supervision, as well as professional development activities.
  • Contribute to program development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to organisational values and policies while maintaining a commitment to quality service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary degree in Counselling, Social Work, Nursing or Psychology.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body - ACA, PACFA, AASW or APHRA.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with clients experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in delivering trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
