The role of the Personal Care Worker is pivotal in delivering high-quality care to residents. This individual will work closely with a dedicated team of professionals to provide support and assistance to residents in their daily lives.
The Personal Care Worker will be responsible for ensuring that residents receive comprehensive care, promoting independence and dignity. This includes supporting residents with personal care and hygiene needs, while also assisting them with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, and medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting residents to maintain their physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs.
- Implementing care interventions as delegated by registered nurses and documented in resident plans.
- Assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care and hygiene.
- Developing strong relationships with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in dementia support and ability to engage with residents.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated flexibility, empathy, and patience when working with aged individuals and their families.
- A commitment to continuous quality improvement and professional development.
