We pride ourselves on a personalized service that places the needs of the participants at the forefront of all decisions. Mostly working with young adults, this role offers you the opportunity to make a difference for our participants and their family.

Qualifications & experience

  • Desirable Certificate III in Disability Services or equivalent.
  • Previous employment experience in the disability/community services sector
  • NDIS workers screening clearance
  • Current Police Check
  • Working with children's check
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate
  • Have the right to work in Australia
  • Full Driver's licence
  • Experience with diabetes management (highly regarded)
  • Swim confidently

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Provide high quality support that addresses participants needs.
  • Support participants to develop their skills and independence.
  • Work in conjunction with other staff to perform duties as directed.
  • Domestic assistance: light housework (cleaning, laundry and meal preparation)
  • Provide support to young people who have complex needs and behaviours of concern.
  • Follow a behaviour support plan and implement strategies according to the plan.
  • Assist participants with personal care.
  • Monitor and support health needs, including diabetes management
  • Complete progress notes and reporting as per company guidelines.

Please note that we are looking for sleepover staff. Sleepovers shifts begin at 4pm and finishing at 9am the following day.
