**Role Summary:**

An accomplished Assistant Principal is sought to drive academic excellence and inspire staff in our school community.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding educational leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff to deliver high-quality student outcomes. They will also demonstrate exceptional strategic thinking, program management, and people development skills.

This key role involves leading and managing significant areas or functions within the school, ensuring the effective development, provision, and evaluation of the education program. This includes making informed decisions relating to the program, staff, and resources within the framework of the school's strategic plan and policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of student needs and translation of state educational policy into appropriate education programs;
  • Effective use of teaching staff and resources within a defined area of school operation;
  • Oversight and leadership of educational programs utilizing these resources;

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of curriculum design, pedagogy, and assessment. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.

  • (ii) Demonstrated ability to implement Department policies to a high level.
Leadership of Staff and Students:
  • (i) A highly developed capacity to motivate staff and develop their talents;
  • (ii) A clear capacity to foster a learning environment that takes account of individual student needs.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills:
  • (i) Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills;
  • (ii) Exemplary values pertaining to personal qualities of objectivity, sensitivity, and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the relevant professional body;
  • Qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
