The Role of an Academic Leader

An Academic Leader leads the scope and sequence of the academic program and provides expert advice to teachers within their area of responsibility.

Main Responsibilities
  • Guide the delivery of a relevant, stimulating, and effective teaching program
  • Create a safe, challenging, and inspirational environment
  • Promote the school's philosophy, policies, and procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Education degree or higher
  • Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
