We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to join our team on a 2:1 FIFO roster, contributing to a project in the Northern Territory.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for your assigned project, ensuring familiarity with all relevant drawings, specifications, standards, and technical requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction work packages, including the creation, compilation, and review of essential technical and quality documentation.
  • Engage actively in developing detailed work method statements while identifying and addressing key risks and opportunities.
  • Implement initiatives aimed at cost reduction for assigned work packages.
  • Coordinate the procurement of contractor-supplied items related to work packages, liaising effectively with purchasing, workshops, and site personnel.
  • Provide technical input for project scheduling and ensure milestones are achieved by collaborating with all key stakeholders.
  • Assist in estimating variations and additional scopes of work.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, as well as project claims.
  • Communicate any changes during project phases to manage impacts on safety and project objectives.
  • Participate in risk assessments and manage risks throughout project execution to meet requirements.
  • Oversee red-line drawing management and the development of MDR documentation.
  • Support the configuration, customization, and management of Completion Management Software (PIMS).
About You

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with:

  • A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in the successful delivery of major projects, including greenfields, brownfields, and shutdown operations in materials handling and minerals processing.
  • Prior experience with ABB Shaft Winders.
  • A self-motivated approach, capable of managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • A proven ability to proactively solve problems, analyze situations, and implement effective solutions.
  • A resourceful mindset combined with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • A solid understanding of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, electrical layout drawings, and shop detail drawings.
  • The ability to navigate and interrogate 3D model deliverables, including .dwg, .nwd, and .ifc formats.
  • Experience in SMART setup and management or other Completions Management Systems.
  • A collaborative spirit, fostering relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building quality relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
