Position Overview

PHE Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer with over 5 years of extensive experience in managing significant projects and shutdown operations within the materials handling and minerals processing sectors. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team on a 2:1 FIFO roster, focusing on the successful execution of project deliverables in the Northern Territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for assigned projects, ensuring familiarity with project drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction work packages, including the creation and review of essential technical and quality documentation.
  • Engage in the formulation of detailed work method statements while identifying and addressing critical risks and opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to enhance cost efficiency for assigned work packages.
  • Coordinate the procurement of contractor-supplied items and facilitate communication between purchasing, workshops, and site teams.
  • Provide valuable technical insights for project scheduling and ensure adherence to key milestones through stakeholder engagement.
  • Assist in the estimation of variations and additional scopes of work.
  • Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly project reporting, including claims management.
  • Monitor and communicate changes throughout project phases to mitigate impacts on safety and objectives.
  • Participate actively in risk assessments and manage execution risks to meet project requirements.
  • Oversee red-line drawing management and the development of MDR documentation.
  • Support the configuration and management of Completion Management Software (PIMS).
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in delivering major projects, including greenfield, brownfield, and shutdown works.
  • Experience with ABB Shaft Winders.
  • Strong self-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities, with a hands-on approach to implementing solutions.
  • A resourceful mindset with a positive attitude and a robust work ethic.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, electrical layout drawings, and shop detail drawings.
  • Ability to navigate and analyze 3D model deliverables effectively.
  • Experience with SMART setup and management or other Completions Management Systems.
  • A collaborative spirit, fostering relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
