Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for your assigned project, ensuring familiarity with project drawings, specifications, standards, and other technical requirements.
  • Prepare construction work packages, which involve the creation, compilation, and review of essential technical and quality documentation.
  • Engage in the formulation of detailed work method statements while identifying and addressing key risks and opportunities.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives for assigned work packages.
  • Oversee the procurement of contractor-supplied items related to work packages, coordinating effectively with purchasing, workshops, and site teams.
  • Contribute to project scheduling by providing technical planning insights and ensuring milestones are achieved through collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Assist in estimating variations and additional scopes of work.
  • Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, including project claims.
  • Communicate changes during project phases to mitigate impacts on safety and project objectives.
  • Participate in risk assessments and manage risks throughout project execution to meet requirements.
  • Manage and update red-line drawings and oversee the development of MDR documentation.
  • Assist in configuring, customizing, and managing Completion Management Software (PIMS).
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Electrical Engineer with:

  • A minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in delivering major projects, including greenfields, brownfields, and shutdown operations in materials handling and minerals processing.
  • Experience with ABB Shaft Winders.
  • Strong self-management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, analysis, and solution implementation.
  • A resourceful mindset, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
  • A comprehensive understanding of engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, electrical layout drawings, and shop detail drawings.
  • The capability to navigate and analyze 3D model deliverables.
  • Experience with SMART setup and management or other Completions Management Systems.
  • A collaborative spirit, fostering relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
  • A commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture.
