APAC Business Development Representative

A leading company is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Business Development Representative to join their team in Sydney, Australia.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about building relationships and driving business growth across the APAC region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying new sales opportunities, initiating contact with potential customers, and building strong early-stage relationships that lead to meetings and pipeline.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about our product suite and the competitive landscape, and contribute to the refinement of messaging, outreach tactics, and market positioning as we grow in the APAC region.

We are seeking an individual with 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development, exceptional communication skills, confidence and presence on the phone, and a startup mindset.

The ideal candidate will also be tech-savvy, eager to learn, and fluent in English. Other APAC languages are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect like a pro: Source and qualify new sales opportunities via outbound calls, emails, and social outreach across APAC.
  • Be the first touch: Initiate contact with potential customers and build strong early-stage relationships that lead to meetings and pipeline.
  • Pitch with purpose: Understand customer needs and clearly articulate how our products solve real problems with cutting-edge technology.
  • Partner with AEs: Schedule qualified meetings with Account Executives and collaborate on strategy to accelerate the sales cycle.
  • Stay organized: Log activity and insights into our CRM to maintain pipeline visibility and drive conversion.
  • Grow your knowledge: Learn about our product suite and the competitive landscape so you can speak with confidence and authority.
  • Shape our strategy: Contribute to the refinement of messaging, outreach tactics, and market positioning as we grow in the APAC region.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, lead generation, or business development (SaaS or telecom experience a big plus).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Confidence and presence on the phone—you're persuasive, curious, and comfortable navigating conversations at all levels of seniority.
  • Startup mindset—you're resourceful, adaptable, and energized by change.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with experience managing a pipeline and working within a CRM like Salesforce.
  • Tech-savvy and eager to learn, especially when it comes to APIs, connectivity, and modern comms infrastructure.
  • Fluency in English required; other APAC languages are a plus.
