Senior Communications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Communications Manager to join our team at Commonwealth Bank. As a key member of our Financial Crime Services (FCS) function, you will play a critical role in driving the execution and embedding of key operational communication and engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Create and deliver communication strategies across FCS and FCO, aligning with business priorities and objectives.
- Work closely with the FCS Executive General Manager and FCO General Manager to oversee and manage communications and engagement activity, including leader notes, All Hands, and leader events.
- Develop a strategic Communications calendar and organize and manage events accordingly.
- Provide leadership and direction to senior leadership to translate business priorities into effective communication strategies.
- Work with the broader Corporate Affairs team to ensure cross-communication and alignment with the Group-wide strategy.
- Integrate measurement and evaluation into communications plans, developing insights and outcomes each month to improve communication tactics and performance.
- Drive creative communication initiatives, rally stakeholders around new ideas, and execute strategies swiftly.
- Significant experience in an internal-focused communications role within a listed company, issues-rich and highly regulated environment, managing business communication strategy and implementation.
- Experience in financial crime and supporting large-scale regulatory tech program (highly advantageous).
- Change management and employee engagement experience (desirable).
- A track record in developing, implementing, and measuring integrated and coordinated communication strategies.
- Exceptional writing skills and ability to simplify complex messages.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and an ability to work with multiple teams and functions to deliver strong outcomes.
- Strong issue management experience.
