Senior Manager Performance Reporting Specialist

About the Role
The Commonwealth Bank of Australia is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Performance Reporting to join its Financial Services team. As a key member of the Group Financial Reporting & Analysis team, you will be responsible for providing financial support to the CEO, CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
- Provide analysis and insights on the bank's investments portfolio to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure the due diligence process is undertaken on external equity investments.
- Lead the preparation of monthly investment spend reports, including key business metrics and insights.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis of project delivery workforce and allocation of funding to optimize performance.
- Assist in the preparation of external results reporting on the investment portfolio.
- Report on the effectiveness and efficiency of the investment portfolio and resources.
- Assist in the preparation of Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review memos.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline work.
- Provide independent review of strategic equity investments and advice to the Group CFO.
- Engage with stakeholders across the organization, demonstrating strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Present to Finance Working Group and other senior stakeholders.
- Manage operational responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the Investment Reporting and Analysis team.
- Contribute to long-term value creation for the Group.
- Lead a team of 2 direct reports.
Requirements
- Excellent commercial acumen and strong analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and analysis, and strong PowerPoint skills.
- Transaction services/valuations experience preferred but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
- Innovative and results-driven.
- Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
- Tableau and Alteryx skills preferred but not necessary.
- CA/CPA/CFA qualified and Big 4 background preferred with advanced MS Excel skills.
