Category Manager Role

The Category Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization. This is an opportunity to contribute to lasting change and help transform our inbound supply chain.

This position will report to a Senior Manager and focus on developing category strategies, managing sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract management activities.

The successful candidate will form a key part of the team transforming our inbound supply chain, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Position

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline - desirable
  • Experience working within a procurement or commercial team in Supply / Category / Contracts roles
  • A proven track record for cultivating strong relationships with key clients and supplier stakeholders that have delivered both value and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Negotiation skills, with the proven ability to plan a negotiation and execute that plan
  • Well-developed communications skills, both verbal and written, including drafting strategies, presentations, and recommendations
