Category Development Manager

Overview: The Category Development Manager will lead strategic initiatives to drive performance improvements across high-volume procurement activities.
The role involves monitoring industry trends and collaborating with suppliers to review contract KPIs. Strategic planning is also a key aspect of the job, as you will be responsible for transforming categories to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a comprehensive understanding of industry developments and market trends.
- Collaborate with supply partners to monitor and review contract KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives to transform categories, driving business growth and profitability.
- Ensure contract compliance and assess supplier performance, making recommendations for process improvements.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management, or a related field.
- Strong background in contract lifecycle management, with experience in negotiation and vendor relationship management.
- Knowledge of advanced sourcing strategies, including e-sourcing and data analytics.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including SAP ARIBA, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Industry experience in mining, construction, forestry, infrastructure, manufacturing, or engineering (desirable).
